Day 14 Update
We got to hit pause on our daily clinic visits yesterday as Steph hit the magic 100.4 degree temp Monday night that dictated admittance to UWMC. The good news is that the temp didn't last long (just long enough though) and she will most likely be cleared for discharge tomorrow morning.
She has been pretty fatigued and dealing with some achy bones, which is to be expected as the new stem cells take up residence and get to work. Working they have been as her neutrophil count today was 200! Engraftment is considered three days in a row of a >500 count, so we are on the way! Her white cell count continues to rise overall which is great news. She continues to receive supplemental infusions of red blood cells and platelets and that will continues until the new stem cells are up to their full production capacities.
The kids enjoyed some extra family time as Uncle Aaron, Uncle Sean, and Aunt Katie were in town over the weekend for some larger family gatherings. Steph and I had to sit those out, but the kids enjoyed breaking free for some extra socialization. They even had the opportunity to indoor skydive again!
Thanks for your continued prayers and a big thanks to the amazing care teams at SCCA and UWMC for taking such good care of us wherever we are!
